Design Competition

Photography is an activity that transcends cultural, socioeconomic, age and other boundaries. It allows us to capture a moment in time, to remember significant events, and others. However, due to the visual nature of photography and the lack of non-visual cues to indicate the content of the photo, those with limited vision are at a disadvantage when taking photos and identifying them at a later time. We propose Phodio, an iPhone app that provides audio cues to help blind photographers take pictures and remember the contextual information of the photos.
